Don't be surprised if you see a bunch of naked cyclists biking through the city soon. Montreal's annual World Naked Bike Ride is set to return for a 20th edition this month as a protest against the over-consumption of oil.

And, yes, participants can use BIXI bikes, as they have in previous years, so long as they cover their seats, a BIXI spokesperson told MTL Blog.

BIXI, Montreal's extremely popular bike-sharing program, has announced its 2022 pricing and pre-season deals. Once again this year, Montrealers can take advantage of a 10% discount on a seasonal membership before the spring BIXI launch.

Normally $92, the season-long subscription is $83 until April 15. Otherwise, monthly passes are $18. Both monthly and seasonal pass holders are charged an additional $0.10/minute after 45 minutes on a regular BIXI and $0.12 for every minute on an electric BIXI.

You may have seen them on one of your strolls or bike rides through the city. Striking, all-white " ghost bikes" marking the locations where cyclists have died following a car crash.

Vélo fantôme, the group that erects the haunting memorials, hopes they can "provoke reflection on the dangers of motorized vehicles."
