Recruitment and consulting firm Randstad has released its ranking of the 10 "highest paying jobs in Canada for 2023." The list is more like a snapshot of the current job market — a compilation of the most in-demand jobs with upward-trending compensation.

With a salary range that Randstad puts at between $75,000 and $130,000, Full-Stack Developer topped the list. The University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies describes these developers as the "Swiss army knives of the development world," dealing with both the front end and back end of websites and apps. Randstad noted a record-high demand for people who can fill these positions and forecasts it will continue to grow.

Cha-ching! Some Quebecers could see significant salary bumps next year, according to projections from the Conseil du patronat du Québec (CPQ), an organization that represents more than 70,000 employers in the province.

The CPQ says businesses are anticipating an average salary budget increase of 4.16% (that average excludes companies planning salary freezes) for non-unionized employees. Even greater increases, between 4.4% and 4.7%, could be coming to companies in the IT, real estate, "professional services" and manufacturing sectors.
