The Ministère de l'Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l'Alimentation (MAPAQ) has recalled several food items sold in grocery stores across Quebec that could pose serious health and safety risks to Quebec consumers.

The grocery items are being recalled for reasons including undeclared ingredients, microbial contamination and the presence of extraneous materials such as metal.

The federal health department is currently recalling a cheese product due to the presence of E. coli.

After news was released regarding the Similac recall in Canada, the parent company of baby formula brand Enfamil has stated that their products have not been affected and are safe for consumption.

Reckitt, the company behind consumer brands including Clearasil, Durex, Lysol, and Enfamil, released a statement on February 18 saying that they are aware of the Similac baby formula recall, and are reassuring consumers that "no Enfamil products are affected."

Only days after the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) recalled certain smoothie products across the country, Health Canada has issued another food recall warning involving Quality fast foods brand and Hygaard Fine Foods Ltd. brand sandwiches due to possible Listeria contamination.

On January 25, HQ Fine Foods officially recalled certain sandwiches from both brands that have been sold nationwide.
