Fall might be settling in, but one of Montreal's most enchanting traditions is just getting started. At the Botanical Garden, Jardins de lumière has returned, lighting up the pathways with lanterns, projections, and glowing installations that feel straight out of a storybook.

Running nightly until November 2, the 13th edition of the event transforms the Chinese, Japanese, and First Nations gardens into illuminated landscapes where myths, poetry, and nature all come alive. It's become a fall ritual for many Montrealers, the kind of evening walk that makes you forget the chill in the air.

Fall might be creeping in, but one of Montreal's most surreal summer attractions isn't ready to fade just yet.

Fall is slowly taking over Montreal, and with it comes a reminder that some of summer's brightest attractions won't be around much longer. The air is cooler, the leaves are starting to change, and the flowers that coloured the city all season are beginning to fade.

One of the most striking spots to soak up what's left of it is in Parc Jean-Drapeau, where three enormous horticultural sculptures have been stopping visitors in their tracks since June. Installed for the 25th anniversary of Mosaïcultures Internationales de Montréal — the city's world-renowned horticultural art event — the pieces were chosen for permanent display, instantly turning the Jardins des Floralies into one of Montreal's most unique cultural landmarks.

You don't need to catch a flight to experience something straight out of a Disney movie — Montreal has its very own enchanted garden, and it looks just like a scene from Moana.

Earlier this year, Parc Jean-Drapeau unveiled a breathtaking new attraction to mark the 25th anniversary of the Mosaïcultures internationales de Montréal.

Montreal's summer food scene isn't slowing down, and one of the city's most mouthwatering festivals is about to roll back into town (Hey, that rhymes!)

From August 14 to 17, the 5th annual Festival Streetfood de Montréal is taking over the Clock Tower Pier in the Old Port, serving up flavours from more than 15 countries across Asia, Latin America, Europe and the Caribbean. You'll find grilled skewers from Thailand, takoyaki from Japan, tacos from Mexico, paella from Spain, and plenty more — all in one place.

If you're itching for one last nature escape before summer winds down in Quebec, September might just hand you the perfect excuse. And it won't cost you a thing.

Once a year, Quebecers get a rare chance to visit some of the province's most beautiful parks for free. The event returns this fall, but it comes with a catch: spots are limited, and you’ll need to act quickly if you want in.

If you're not ready to say goodbye to summer in Montreal, this might be your excuse to stretch the season a little longer.

Montreal Pride is nearly in full swing — and Piknic Électronik just dropped one of the season's biggest surprises.

An 18,000-square-foot flower field has returned to Montreal for another summer. And if you're looking for a free, low-key activity that's easy on the eyes (and your camera roll), this one should be on your list.

Located in the heart of Montreal's Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough, La Prairie Louvain officially reopened on Friday, July 25, bringing a sea of sunflowers, wild grasses, perennials, and colourful annuals back to District Central. The sprawling space is made up of two wide paths you can walk through freely, with interpretive panels along the way that highlight the area's transformation from an industrial zone to a more human-centred community space.

From outdoor movies in the park to endless street festivals, Montreal summers are short, sticky, and packed with things to do. But if you're looking to cool off and try something a little different, stand-up paddleboarding (or SUP) is a solid option.

It's the kind of activity you'd usually associate with a weekend at the cottage or a quiet lake up north, but luckily, you don't actually have to leave the city to catch a wave. There are a few spots right here in Montreal where you can rent a board by the hour without spending a ton, with multiple local spots charging less than $30 an hour.

Montreal's fluffiest festival is back. And this year, it's bringing even more paws to the party.

The 5th edition of Corgi Pawty MTL is set to take over the city with not one but two free public gatherings where hundreds of corgis and their humans will strut, pose, and show off their signature waddle. The festival, which drew thousands of fans last year, is open to everyone — even if you don't have a dog.

A water park just over an hour from Montreal is swapping lawn chairs for pool floats and popcorn this summer.

Parc aquatique Bromont is bringing back its ciné-piscine nights for two evenings of family-friendly movies in the wave pool. On July 25 and August 8, visitors can kick back on inflatable tubes or settle into bean bags and loungers around the pool while watching a movie on a giant outdoor screen.
