Queen's legendary hits are set to rock Montrealers next year in a symphonic tribute show. Fans of the British rock band can expect timeless classics, like "We Are The Champions" and "We Will Rock You" in a majestic new format — think "Bohemian Rhapsody" meets symphony.

The "Queen Symphonic: A Rock & Orchestra Experience" has been a hit in Europe, performed for hundreds of thousands of viewers. Now the show is making its way to North America for the first time and will feature a 45-artist ensemble, including a symphony orchestra, all under the direction of Richard Sidwell, who also directed "Led Zeppelin Symphonic."

Now, they're unmissable. Two monolithic black towers joined by a spindly metal lattice now occupy what used to be empty sky in the Montreal cityscape. This is Maestria, a new condo development rising out of the Quartier des Spectacles like conjoined grim reapers.

Their design is certainly bold. Developers say that metal structure between them will be the highest sky bridge in Quebec, but access will mostly be limited to an elite few.

Grab lunch. Head to the metro. Learn how to sue your landlord. Go back to work... Okay, it doesn't really work like that. But getting legal advice — or at least guidance on where to find resources — can be that convenient with the return of Juripop's free walk-up legal clinics in the Montreal metro.

The organization, which provides low-cost legal services, is setting up in the green line's Place-des-Arts station on Thursdays in March. In a Facebook post, it said lawyers and notaries will be available for 15-minute sessions with anyone who walks up to their booth.

Luminothérapie is an annual installation in downtown Montreal designed to bring you some light, calm and joy during the dark winter months. It might also beat you up. As one Redditor pointed out, part of this year's edition becomes particularly terrifying during moments of strong wind. Commenters likened the quickly swirling columns to a video game graphic bug, portals to another world and trippy Hydro-Québec turbines. Others agreed the dizzying blur of colours has the exact opposite effect of relieving anxiety.

"These installations become a bit stressful with the wind," u/LeStebbins wrote alongside a December 23 video of PRISMATICA, a series of two-metre-high reflective columns on rue Sainte-Catherine O. Passersby are able to spin the columns and watch as their lights bounce across the ground.

Brrr! Do you feel those chilly temperatures out there? The beginning of winter can be a real mood killer, so our city is offering a free experience in the Quartier des Spectacles to brighten your dreary days. From December 1 to March 5, 2023, Montrealers can celebrate the icy season with the return of the popular Luminothérapie installations. The centrepiece this year is an interactive experience on downtown's Esplanade Tranquille skating rink.

"More than ever, this year's installations for the 13th edition will highlight the unique personality of our metropolis: nordic, festive, cultural and creative. Luminothérapie participates brilliantly in creating a stimulating environment that will encourage many people to come downtown during the cold season," Mayor Valérie Plante said in a press release.

Montreal's heavy metal choir is back from a trip to America's Got Talent and taking their underground vocals… well, underground. Growler's Choir, which calls itself the world's first and only heavy metal choir, is performing in Place-des-Arts metro on Tuesday.

Between 3 and 6 p.m., ten members of the group will perform an unreleased song in front of the station's large stained-glass window.
