Montreal has no shortage of great bubble tea shops. But how many of them can say they've won the equivalent of three Michelin stars?

One of the city's newest boba spots, which comes to us straight from Taiwan, has been serving handcrafted tea for over 20 years — and all six of its tea varieties have won Superior Taste Awards from the prestigious International Taste Institute (ITI), which is judged by an association of Michelin-starred chefs and sommeliers.

Whether you're an experienced Montrealer, a newby in town or just passing through the 514, our city always has tons of fun activities every weekend, even now that the chilly weather is back and the leaves are losing their summer green.

From the iconic Sunday parties at Parc Jean-Drapeau, to comedy shows, themed nights at La Ronde and free stuff to do all over town, it can be difficult to pick where to go.

Another weekend in Montreal is upon us, but this isn't just any weekend... it's the last weekend of July. Don't worry, we can't believe how fast time has passed either.

While you might think summer's going by way too quickly (and it sorta is...) there are still loads of things to get up to make sure you leave July behind with zero regrets. Montreal's Chinatown has a new ephemeral outdoor square with Asian street food kiosks, a bar, and ample seating to enjoy the festive atmosphere. Every Thursday to Sunday, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., Montrealers can try dishes from Hoho Street Food (Chinese), Egina BBQ (Mongolian) and World Tea House (Chinese) restaurants.

The average cost of eats is under $10. You can munch on cold noodles ($7) or sip a fruity iced tea ($3-4) under a canopy of red lanterns. A central bar also serves beer ($5-7), sangria ($6) and non-alcoholic options, like lemonade ($2.50).

True Montrealers know the city is home to two Chinatowns: the official, traditional Chinatown around rue de la Gauchetière and the unofficial, more contemporary Chinatown in Shaughnessy Village. Now, after seeing the success of the annual Asian night market in Montreal's original Chinatown, Shaughnessy Village is finally getting one of its own: Shoni Market.

From September 10 to 12, rue Sainte-Catherine Ouest will close off between rue Lambert Closse and rue de Bleury as pedestrians sample delicious Asian street fare from around 30 different kiosks.

Montreal's Asian night market — taking place, this year, under the dreamy, twinkling lights of the wish tree in Chinatown — is officially in full swing and full of delicious surprises.

The market is currently running every weekend until October 3. Organizers have partnered with La Pépinière | Espaces Collectifs, a project organizer for public spaces in Montreal, and Quartier des Spectacles to present yummy Asian street food as well as special programming.
