Montreal is adding a new Lebanese restaurant to its repertoire of must-try spots. Much-loved local Lebanese restaurant Mezzmiz has officially opened a second location promising to transport you and your taste buds to the Mediterranean.

Located on rue Crescent, Mezzmiz serves up all of your favourite Lebanese dishes, mezze-style, what it calls "the act of snacking, savouring and sharing food with family and friends in a convivial manner."

Eaton Centre staple Time Out Market is welcoming a new Italian flavour profile: sandwich shop Bossa is joining the roster of 14 eateries in late February. Bossa is known for its two popular locations in Verdun and Rosemont, where the family-run restaurant serves loaded Philly-style hoagies flavoured with southern Italian flair.

"Since birth, food has been an integral part of my life," said Bossa's owner and chef Daniel Lo Manto. "I grew up making sauces from scratch with my Nonno and mother, starting with a homemade secret tomato sauce which you can now find in our sandwiches."

Montreal's Time Out Market is throwing a downton Dia de Muertos party for two days with free activities. From October 28 to 29 you can sip on a themed cocktail while painting a complimentary pumpkin or catch a mariachi band while you have a meal.

The Eaton Centre food court has 13 counters to pick from, including a pop-up kitchen, four bars and a mocktail stand. You'll be serenaded by traditional Mexican music performed live on Friday evening. The following night you can catch DJ Don Barbarino behind the decks.

The bridge that runs through Time Out Market features a pop-up arcade with Northstar pinball machines, Pac-Man, Pong, and other diversions to challenge you and your friends. Steps away, the ARcade by Moment Factory offers half a dozen 80s-inspired augmented reality (AR) games that react to physical movement.

The installations are part of Montreal's "I love working downtown" project, intended to get Montrealers back in the city centre after the pandemic forced many to start working remotely.
